The technology consists of a modular nanotechnology platform based on Virus-Like Particles (VLPs) engineered for microRNA (miRNA) profiling in the Central Nervous System. VLPs act as "molecular drones" that offer exceptional sub-neuronal spatial and temporal resolution and superior packaging efficiency. The VLP system is intrinsically modular, allowing for easy engineering of the targeting module to extend the application to other tissues or cellular compartments beyond neuronal synapses.

AIDD is an integrated tool and a radically new way to discovery new drugs for neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s, Epilepsy, Ageing, etc.).
