Tailored therapy

Using innovative organoid biotechnology, miniature tumors (mini-tumors or organoids) are recreated in the laboratory using tumor stem cells collected from patients diagnosed with breast cancer. They are expanded, characterized at the molecular level, and collected in the Breast Cancer Tissues & Organoids (BCTO) biobank (https://www.igb.cnr.it/index.php/bcto-biobank/) along with the tissue samples from which they were generated.
