Memorandum of Understanding for the exploitation of research results in the agri-food sector

Unità Valorizzazione della Ricerca (CNR-Uvr), the Technology Transfer Office of CNR, and Food Hub Srl Società Benefit, an innovative startup and benefit company operating in the agri-food innovation landscape, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaboratively implement initiatives and tools for technology transfer and exploitation of the results of the institution's research activities.

Food Hub's goals include fostering the development of the agri-food sector by facilitating access to key information, advanced training opportunities and strategic advice, acting as a catalyst for innovation by connecting startups, firms, researchers and practitioners through a platform that encourages knowledge sharing, implementation of new technologies and development of innovative solutions to address industry challenges.

Under the MoU, it is intended to give rise to activities and programs aimed at:

  • Enhance the know-how and technologies of the CNR, promoting and managing direct contacts between the scientific network of the Institution and Food Hub to implement joint projects and initiatives.
  • Stimulate and collect the interest of the operators of the Food Hub community thanks to the dissemination of informative and promotional content related to the results of CNR research, to foster innovation and competitiveness of the community operators themselves.
  • Promote and implement training initiatives on technology transfer and innovation, both within the Food Hub community and the CNR.
  • Identify external funding opportunities for joint projects, including collaborating with third parties.

To explain the objectives, opportunities, and how to collaborate with the scientific network, CNR-Uvr will organize in collaboration with Food Hub a Webinar on the morning of September 12 (updates on the event in the coming weeks).
